Goat Kid Cleft Palate

A cleft palate will effect the top of the mouth. the roof will normally have a split going from the front to the back. this makes is hard for the kid to nurse and if it survives long enough it becomes difficult for them to eat hay and grain. many times a doe will refuse to nurse a kid with a cleft palate..
