I think i remember some rex bun parents saying they do actually shed a lot, in big clumps. but it may depend on the individual bunny. everybun's different. i found a good webpage about trying to choose a bunny. it says some bunnies shed more and some shed less, but it just depends on the individual bun.. Bean is in the middle of a typical rabbit shed, which often starts at the head of the rabbit, and you see the pattern going toward the back of the rabbit, as the hair is removed.. I know that all rabbits shed extensively through out most of the year (x2) and shed moderately through out the year. anyway, i think mini lops have roll back fur and dutches have fly back..

Rabbits should be brushed daily during their heavy molts and at least weekly during the light molts. the more hair you get out of the rabbit by brushing, the less that will get into your rabbits by them ingesting it.. Rabbits need to be brushed at least weekly. in addition to removing any loose hair, this weekly brushing session helps prepare them for the multiple daily brushings that they must undergo when their heavy shedding begins. rabbits will shed in different ways. some rabbits will take a couple of weeks or more to loose their old coat of fur..
